A clearer way to compare

Silver coins, bars or rounds?

Compare equal weights first. The lowest ticket price is not always the lowest cost per ounce.

01 / Silver

Silver coins

Government-minted bullion such as the Canadian Maple Leaf. Compare individual coins with tubes when buying in quantity.

Consider: mint, year and quantity.
02 / Silver

Silver bars

Compare 1 oz, 10 oz and larger bars by price per ounce. Larger pieces can reduce premiums but need more storage space.

Consider: cost per ounce and storage.
03 / Silver

Silver rounds

Privately minted silver without a legal-tender face value. Compare JBR and other available rounds with bars and coins.

Consider: purity, recognizability and premium.
What does “price per oz” tell you?

The product price divided by its fine-metal weight in troy ounces. It makes different sizes easier to compare. One troy ounce is approximately 31.1035 grams; shipping and other applicable charges are additional.

What is the difference between spot price and the price I pay?

Spot is a market reference for the metal. A physical silver product also has a premium, which can reflect fabrication, distribution and dealer costs. Compare the total price for the same fine-metal weight, then check delivery costs and payment terms. Prices change with the market.

Should I choose silver coins, bars or rounds?

Coins are issued by government mints; rounds are privately minted and do not have a legal-tender face value. Bars come in a wide range of weights. Compare today’s price per ounce, the total purchase amount and the flexibility of smaller pieces.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery is free to Canada and the contiguous USA on orders over $999 CAD. Orders of $999 CAD or less have a $35 CAD shipping charge, including tax. Shipments are fully insured. Payment clearance and product availability affect dispatch timing. Read the delivery details.

Can I store my silver instead of taking delivery?

Yes. Delta Harbour offers allocated, segregated vaulted storage. Compare storage locations, fees and access arrangements with the team before choosing your ownership option.

Can I hold silver in a registered account?

Delta Harbour can help you explore eligible physical silver for a self-directed RRSP, TFSA or another supported registered account. Product eligibility and the custodian’s process must be confirmed before buying. Explore registered bullion accounts.

What if I want silver by the ounce, rather than a specific coin or bar?

Our wholesale bullion program lets you buy and sell by the ounce with ultra-low premiums and ownership backed 1:1 by bullion. Ask our team to compare the full costs, including storage and any delivery requirements.
