Which gold format fits you?

Start with the amount you want to buy, then compare format, fine-metal weight and the price per ounce.

01 / Gold

Gold coins

Recognizable designs in a choice of sizes. Explore Canadian Maple Leafs and compare the premium on each weight.

Consider: flexibility when selling smaller amounts.
02 / Gold

Gold bars

From gram bars to larger formats, compare the cost per ounce and the amount you want to buy in one piece.

Consider: total cost, brand and bar size.
03 / Gold

Smaller gold purchases

A lower total purchase price does not always mean a lower price per ounce. Compare gram bars and fractional coins side by side.

Consider: budget today and premiums per ounce.
What does “price per oz” tell you?

The product price divided by its fine-metal weight in troy ounces. It makes different sizes easier to compare. One troy ounce is approximately 31.1035 grams; shipping and other applicable charges are additional.

What is the difference between spot price and the price I pay?

Spot is a market reference for the metal. A physical gold product also has a premium, which can reflect fabrication, distribution and dealer costs. Compare the total price for the same fine-metal weight, then check delivery costs and payment terms. Prices change with the market.

Should I choose a gold bar or a gold coin?

Compare the premium, size and how you want to sell later. A larger bar can offer a lower cost per ounce, while smaller coins or bars let you sell in smaller increments. The best choice depends on the current products and prices available.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery is free to Canada and the contiguous USA on orders over $999 CAD. Orders of $999 CAD or less have a $35 CAD shipping charge, including tax. Shipments are fully insured. Payment clearance and product availability affect dispatch timing. Read the delivery details.

Can I store my gold instead of taking delivery?

Yes. Delta Harbour offers allocated, segregated vaulted storage. Compare storage locations, fees and access arrangements with the team before choosing your ownership option.

Can I hold gold in a registered account?

Delta Harbour can help you explore eligible physical gold for a self-directed RRSP, TFSA or another supported registered account. Product eligibility and the custodian’s process must be confirmed before buying. Explore registered bullion accounts.

What if I want gold by the ounce, rather than a specific coin or bar?

Our wholesale bullion program lets you buy and sell by the ounce with ultra-low premiums and ownership backed 1:1 by bullion. Ask our team to compare the full costs, including storage and any delivery requirements.

We acknowledge our Mother Earth that gives us life, nourishes us, is our greatest partner and greatest strength. We act with reverence, respect, and reciprocity in all that we do. We acknowledge the First Peoples who have lived and thrived on these lands for thousands of years and who have kept this sacred relationship alive for us all.
